Scholarship Resources Part 2

For the class of 2024, October through January can be a very stressful time as seniors must figure out what they want to do with their lives. As you begin your college application process, it is crucial to keep track of deadlines, financial aid, and potential scholarships. Although the admission process can be time-consuming, it is equally important to spend time on scholarships so that you are able to pay for tuition.


Scholarships that are open or will open:

  • The “No Sweat” Scholarship

    • Due Sep 30, 8th-12th graders, $2,500 cash scholarship

  • The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship

    • Due Oc 2, $20,000; 150 scholars chosen

  • Reagan Foundation

    • Opens October, up to $40,000; leadership based

  • Burger King Scholars

    • Opens Oct 15, due Dec 31, $1,000 award, no essay

  • Voice of Democracy Audio-Essay Contest

    • Due Oct 31, $35,000; 3-5 audio essay

  • Cooke College Scholarship Program

    • Due November, need-based, full ride

  • Elks MVS Scholarship

    • Due November, merit-based, $4,000-50,000

  • Buick Achievers Scholarship

    • Due November, need-based, $25,000

  • Curtis Holloway Memorial Scholarship

    • Due Nov 16, $1,000; must live in a single-parent household

  • American College Foundation Visionary Program

    • Due Dec 1, 9th-12th graders, money varies

  • Create a Greeting Card Scholarship Contest

    • Due March 1, $10,000; create a holiday card

  • BigFuture

    • Monthly drawings of $500 and $40,000
