NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing

This award aims to honor high school (grades 9-12) students that identify as women, genderqueer, or non-binary with a passion for computing, and help them gain some visibility within this field. Everyone who receives an award, regardless of level, gains access to a greater network of resources to help them pursue their goals in this field.
Prizes include grants and computing equipment, as well as future scholarship and internship opportunities. Even if you are just starting to gain an interest in the field of computing, this award application provides a means to obtain valuable resources that will help you if you decide to pursue a future in this field!
Eligibility (according to website):
Applicants must be 13 years of age or older at the time of account creation - Applicants must attend a school in the US, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or on a U.S. overseas military base.
Applicants must not be affiliated with or related to any employee of the NCWIT - Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or individual who meets the requirements of the substantial presence test.
Applicants must have a U.S. Tax Identification or Social Security Number. - Applicants must submit any additional required paperwork as requested by NCWIT.
Application details:
Applications typically open in early September
The early application deadline is typically in mid-October
Those who apply early receive an invitation to a VIP Event in late-October, where there are multiple guest speakers, all of whom are women that have made significant contributions within the computing community
